1) GROUP TOGETHER
“There’s a new game called Hardpoint, where you sit and control an area of the map and hold for 45 seconds, before taking the next one. The common mistake is people stack their entire team inside that zone, as you only control the point when you’re in it. The best thing to do is to just have one of your team in the zone and get the rest of the team outside protecting ‘the lane’, the path that leads to the zone. Set traps like bouncing betties, claymores or shock charges, which will take care of anything you can’t see down your gun barrel.”
2) MAKE FRIENDS
“Multi-team is brand new and it’s available in Hardpoint, Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed. Here you can play three vs three vs three. For this, you need guys you know really well, that you play with a lot. The team that plays together wins! It’s about keeping unified as
a small squad and moving through the map. A good tip is to do a lockdown; when you take a building, lock it down and take out the guys near it, then move on to a new unit as they come for you.”
3) LEARN THE WEAPONS
“We’ve got Party Games this time and Gun Games is a really interesting way to learn the weapons. Basically, it’s a free-for-all, where everyone tries to kill everybody else. Every time you confirm a kill, your weapon is automatically upgraded. This allows you to get experience on weapons you may not generally choose, or those you might not have unlocked yourself. Good knowledge of weaponry is essential in multiplayer.”
4) DON’T GO IN COLD
“The best way to learn multiplayer is in Combat Training. Here, you can learn skills to take on the pros, by allowing you the chance to take on a mix of humans and computer-controlled soldiers. That gives you the opportunity to experience the game, but not get your butt kicked all the time. It’s great for newbies and you’re still ranking up, so you can actually get a head start before you go into the pool with the bigger sharks.”
